Grieg Seafood BC’s head office is in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. Over 40 administrative and technical employees staff five departments:
- Financial & Information Systems;
- Fish Health;
- Human Resources, Sustainability & Growth;
- Indigenous & Community Relations;
- and Production.
Grieg operates a fresh-water hatchery in the community of Gold River (population 1,300), which is the gateway to beautiful Nootka Sound.
Gold River sits right at the heart of Vancouver Island, and has a wealth of recreational pursuits and a clean, modern and safe riverside community. The village provides easy ocean access to the world’s best salmon and halibut fishing, and glacier-fed rivers and lakes create a fly fisherman’s paradise.
Our 22 salmon farm tenures are located in inlets near the communities of Gold River, Port McNeill, Zeballos, Sechelt and Powell River. With more than 150 staff, many of Grieg’s employees have grown up in communities which enjoy the economic benefits of aquaculture.
We have cooperation agreements with several First Nation partners and are committed to securing agreements with Indigenous peoples in whose traditional territories our farms are situated.
